Dress Code

Wearing appropriate clothing helps us maintain an atmosphere of professionalism and respect.  Here are the guidelines to follow.  Please read each section very carefully   If you have any questions regarding certain articles of clothing, please contact or speak to your Director or Studio Manager. DRAWN2ART APRONS MUST BE WORN WHEN TEACHING.

Hair and Makeup

  1. No hats.

  2. Hair must be tidy and neatly combed.  It is okay to wear your hair down, however, it must be kept out of your face and eyes. We highly recommend wearing your hair back to avoid contact with students’ hair and possible transfer of lice.

  3. If wearing makeup, please try to keep it subdued and professional.

  4. When wearing cologne or perfume, please make sure that it does not overwhelm the students and parents.

  5. For those who smoke, please make sure that you do not smoke right before a class.  Cigarette smoke lingers in your clothing and hair. It is very hard to cover up.  However, do use mints when necessary.

  6. Out of the ordinary hair color should be kept subdued to keep appearance professional.

  7. Tattoo's should be covered, if possible, when appropriate for the weather. However, if tattoos are showing, no neck, face, hands, or sleeves will be allowed for teachers working with children.

Tops

  1. Tops must be professional and free of stains, wrinkles, and holes.  Please make sure any graphics and text are appropriate for young children.

  3. No sleeveless, strapless, or spaghetti straps allowed.

  4. No low-cut tops.  Please make sure when teaching, no cleavage can be viewed by parents or students.

  5. No skin showing at the midriff area

Bottoms

  1. No sweats.

  2. Leggings are fine, but you must be wearing a long enough top to cover your buttocks.

  3. No overly baggy, ripped or torn jeans/pants allowed.  Professional is the key!

  4. No shorts.

  5. No flip flops.

  6. Open-toed shoes are fine as long as they are professional looking.  Do not wear sandals that you would wear to the beach.

  7. Undergarments must be concealed at all times.  Teachers tend to bend down so much with their backs to people.  Be extra sure that you are appropriately covered in back when bending down or sitting.
